Qiming Venture Partners, today announces the promotion of William Hu to Managing Partner effective immediately.
William has been with Qiming for nearly nine years. He has lead and participated in many Qiming healthcare deals, and assisted many of these companies to become leaders in the Chinese market. Qiming’ s success in healthcare is not a small part from William’s contribution , and he has distinguished himself with his outstanding advocacy and service mentality on behalf of all the entrepreneurs that he works with, and his fairness and work ethic which is recognized by entrepreneurs, peers and colleagues.
On behalf of Qiming, William has invested in a number of companies including Tigermed(SZ:300347), BBI Lifescience(HK: 01035), Coland Pharma(TW:4144), Arrail Dental, Tellgen Life Science, AmoyDx, Centreherbs Bio, Vinno medical, APT medical, Sanyou Orthopedic, JHT TCM Clinics, Rendu Bio, P&P Bio, Di’Er Bio, Guahao.com, Medsci Clinical, etc. William has worked in healthcare and pharmaceutical industries in marketing & sales management and R&D service functions. Prior to joining Qiming in 2006, William also has been a strategy consultant at IBM BCS. William holds a Bachelor of Medicine from Shanghai Medical University and an MBA from SIMBA.
In William’s new capacity he will join the Investment Committee and along with the other Managing Partners help set the direction for the firm. William’s promotion is recognition of his outstanding contribution and a testimony to Qiming’s long held value of meritocracy.
